Maria, a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut, founded Purpose Path Counseling Services because she is passionate about assisting people who have gone through trauma and PTSD. Her area of expertise is the treatment of urban and cultural trauma in BIPOC communities. with over 20 years of combined professional experience, education, and training in the mental health, business/corporate, entrepreneurial, and Human Resources industries, as well as a CPTSD and workplace trauma Survivor. She speaks to her audiences, offering trauma informed topics that aid in the continued efforts to destigmatize and normalize mental health treatment, particularly in the workplace.

She understands the various mental health challenges that adults from various backgrounds, particularly communities of Black, Latino, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and individuals with disabilities encounter on a daily basis. Maria is aware of the value of considering different facets of clients' life and belief systems to promote positive connection and communication in relationships.
